About
Yvette Oduro has fostered a love for all things associated with fashion, beauty, and art for as long as she can remember. She fondly remembers growing up watching her mother and grandmother apply their makeup. However, it was the legendary makeup artist, Sam Fine's book, "Fine Beauty: Beauty Basics and Beyond for African-American Women," that sparked Yvette's love of makeup.
Over the years, Yvette has developed her skills as an artist through the continual study of makeup, having taken classes with highly respected makeup artists, such as James Vincent and Bethany Townes of The Powder Group, Jackie van Riet of MUSE Beauty, Cyndi Oshodi, and the extraordinarily talented Andrea C. Samuels. Yvette has continued to elevate her makeup artistry by assisting master artists, Andrea C. Samuels and Mollie Gloss, at runway shows, editorial photo shoots, and music video/television sets, respectively. In addition, Yvette is the key makeup artist for professional dance troupe, The Navel Academy. She also serves as a makeup artist for everyday women, helping them to showcase their best selves for their most memorable life events.
